Dear everybody in Coconut!
Again we had a wonderful couple of weeks here in Coconut. We love Gili Air and the only place we want to
stay is here with all of you. During the years it was always the best place for us. It is good the staff is the
same from one year to another, it makes us feel home and with our family. So thank you all for your friendliness
and the nice evenings we have spent together.

PS Big kiss from Raynal (our favourite guitar player) and Gisou, who had to leave early this morning!

After a week on Paradise Island it felt really relaxed, time flew quickly but will come back soon!
You have a beautiful place, lovely garden and great cottages, I will miss the late afternoon rests in the
hammock on the verandah (No 9 Pepaya). The food and the staff here is excellent, we had the best
time here. Not to mention the fireworks from the Oberoi on New Year‚s Eve and the earthquake on 2/1!
Will fully recommend this place to anybody. Thanks Elaine and Kamil for a lovely week.

What can I say? We had a fascinating, relaxing, magnificent, delicious time here at the Coconuts.
And I'm sure I am speaking on behalf of the whole family: Theo (15), Nico (11) and Lucas (8).
We wish all the best to Elaine, her family and the whole of Gili Air. Lets hope that the delicate balance
achievedbetween tourism environmental concerns, economic interests and local customs and traditions
continues, so that we can come back and enjoy another wonderful holiday.

PS Lucas would like me to add that he saw a flying barracuda just sitting on the beach (he was, not the barracuda!)

Memories of Coconuts + Gili Air:
Waking up to the roosters and cows next door
Our pet frog in the mandi
Relaxing on our hammock
Rice pudding - Bagus sekali!!
Tri-nation soccer game under the coconut palms
Manis the resident cat
Happy hour Bintangs on the beach watching the sun set over Gunung Agung
Smiles of the locals, their happy demeanours and eagerness to practice English, whilst helping us with our Indonesian
Moon rise over Agung Rinjani, mesmerising!
Gentle tinkling of bells on Cidomos
Eating freshly prepared pineapples at a beachside cabana

I could go on, all these images will remain with me and yet I only spent 3 days here.
Thank you to Elaine and her gracious staff for ensuring a memorable respite. We will definitely return!

A tranquil, homely, inviting and beautiful place to have spent some of our honeymoon. Coconut exudes a genuine
friendliness and makes some damn fine Sasak Feasts! A real gem. Thank you to everyone here.
The guys here are excellent funny friendly and trustworthy. A great place that has partly made our honeymoon a
great success, phew!  Best wishes to you all and thanks.
